Around the Empire

New York Daily News | John Harper: Mel Stottlemyre was admitted to a hospital this Wednesday. Early yesterday morning, we were hearing from his son that his dad was “fighting for his life.” Thankfully, his wife has stated that he is doing much better and is no longer in life-threatening danger. Our best wishes to Mel and his family. It is heartwarming to hear he is recovering.

NJ.com | Randy Miller: The Hall of Fame ballots are coming in. Looks like I’ve been voted into the baseball Hall of Fame. Wow. More impressively, it looks like Tim Raines will definitely be going into the Hall, which is great news. It also seems like the voters have softened a bit on Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens. Time will tell if they make it in, but it’s looking promising.

BroadwayWorld.Com | Walter McBride: Finally, Derek Jeter is pictured here with Lin-Manuel Miranda and a couple other cast members of Hamilton. That’s all that’s in the link, folks. Just Jeter, doing it his way and not throwing away his shot.
