We’re just days away from Christmas, which means everyone should have their Christmas list ready for any last minute shoppers needing to fight the crowds to pick up last minute gifts. The Yankees already picked up a few things in the form of Matt Holliday and Aroldis Chapman to put under the tree.
So what else is on your Yankee Christmas list this year? Do you want them to swing a trade for a starter? If so, who? Are you interested in a middle reliever still on the market? What would you want Santa Cashman and Rudolph Hal to leave when they stop by to refill on milk and cookies?
The main thing I want is a healthy Greg Bird. I’ve waited so long for this and it might actually be happening. Having a prospect I’ve followed so closely for years finally make it to a starting spot in New York should make everything else about the year more palatable.
l I’d also love to get Jose Quintana without giving up Gleyber Torres or Clint Frazier. How’s that for believing in Christmas miracles? I didn’t say it was reasonable. Just like when I asked for a pony as a kid.
Maybe what you want is more material, like tickets or a new jersey. Feel free to leave those requests in the comments as well. You never know who is watching, right?
All of us here at Pinstripe Alley hope you and your loved ones have a safe and happy holiday, no matter what you’re celebrating. Hopefully Santa Cash brings you some cool stuff, too.
