Ask Pinstripe Alley

It is time for an offseason edition of our Yankees mailbag. The Yankees haven’t played baseball in a month, and we have a long offseason ahead of us. So far, nothing terribly interesting has happened. The Yankees have cleaned up the 40-man roster a bit by activating players from the 60-day disabled list, and adding Kyle Higashioka and Domingo German to the roster (and the Cubs claimed Conor Mullee off waivers).

Around this time in 2015, Brian Cashman kicked off the first trade of the offseason by sending John Ryan Murphy to the Twins. That ended up being just the first of many trades, and though the Yankees ultimately added many new players to the roster, they steered clear of the free agent market. It remains to be seen if the Yankees will follow that same plan of attack this year. Now we just have to play the waiting game.

So, what are your burning offseason questions? Anything regarding the 2016 season, trades, free agency, and the 2017 season is fair game. You can submit your questions in the comment section below, or you can submit your questions via email at pinstripealleyblog [at] gmail dot com. My answers will likely run this weekend, so you have a few days to come up with something. Thanks!
