NESN | Ricky Doyle: Rich Hill is somehow the top starting pitching free agent option. So it seems pretty obvious that teams that are desperate for starting pitching would be pursuing him. Indeed the Yankees are one of four teams that are in “full pursuit” of Hill. The other three teams are the Dodgers, Astros, and Rangers. The Red Sox and Orioles are also in the mix, just to a lesser degree. | Jonathan Mayo: Mike Trout, Kris Bryant, Bryce Harper, these players are baseball’s current sensations. Their careers have barely begun, and the world is already looking for the next group of future MLB stars. Fortunately, after some wheeling and dealing done by Brian Cashman last season, the Yankees can claim they have a potential future superstar in Gleyber Torres. #GleyberGood

The Yankees signed Jackson to what was at-the-time considered a splashy contract worth $3 million total over five years. Until Jackson signed, a lot of the Yankees star players were considered “homegrown” but signing Jackson changed the way the Yankees did business. It’s ultimately | Brendan Kuty: Former Yankee shortstop Bobby Meacham has spent the last three years managing the the Blue Jays’ Double-A affiliate, the Dunedin Blue Jays. Meacham, who spent his entire six-year major league career with the Yankees, was recently promoted by the Blue Jays to manage their Triple-A affiliate Buffalo Bisons. Congrats!
