Around the Empire

New York Daily News | John Harper: You’ve probably seen us talk a lot about Yankees prospect Gleyber Torres a lot on the site. It’s because, as it turns out, Gleyber is good. The hype is so real that some are already starting to discuss an accelerated timetable for him in the minors. Cashman has already squashed that rumor, but he did say that Torres is more than welcome to prove him wrong. Well said, Ninja Cash.

New York Daily News | Mark Feinsand: Yankee fans have been waiting for this movement for a long time now. The Yankees, like many teams before them, are going with their youth movement. After seeing the success it’s brought to recent teams, fans are excited about the possibilities. The talent is there. It’s time to see how well they can all perform in the majors.

NJ.com | Maria Guardado: Yoenis Cespedes made a splash when he arrived to Spring Training in some fancy cars and, at one point, an actual horse. The same person who designed some of his fancy cars have begun working with a new client named Gary Sanchez. Click on the article to see Gary’s new Jeep Wrangler. Expect to see an #IamGary license plate in the future.
