Around the Empire
MiLB.com | Josh Jackson: Gleyber Torres is seemingly okay at the game of baseball. After tearing through the AFL, Gleyber came away with the Joe Black MVP Award for his incredible performance. At 19, Gleyber is the youngest player to win the award. Greg Bird won this award back in 2014. The future is looking bright. On the other hand, fire Cashman.
MLB Trade Rumors | Mark Polishuk: Brian Cashman has had a productive week. He traded Brian McCann away for prospects and conducted the blockbuster Pazos for Littell deal. Now it seems like teams are calling him about Chase Headley and Brett Gardner. While Cashman is fond of both players, they are absolutely not off the table. We’ll see what happens with these two.
New York Post | Joel Sherman: The Yankees still have some moves to make in the offseason. Their four primary focuses are on potentially getting Aroldis Chapman back, improving the bullpen depth, acquiring a starter, and also acquiring a big bat in the lineup. It remains to be seen if all of these items can be procured. On the plus side, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are coming up soon. Discounts discounts discounts.
New York Daily News | Anthony McCarron: Brian McCann is gone, which means that the Yankees are going with Gary Sanchez full time. Losing McCann means losing a bit of a safety net if Gary has the sophomore jitters in 2017. Even if he does, the Yankees seem confident enough with Austine Romine and Kyle Higashioka backing him up. Still, I am looking forward to a full season of Sanchez.

Song of the Day
This Must Be The Place by Talking Heads
It’s Thanks Week on Pinstripe Alley. This week’s theme is all about giving thanks for certain songs you’ve heard in your life. This song, for example, really helped me out when I was sick and in and out of the hospital back in 2012. As always, please link us your song of the day.
