World Series Game 7 Open Thread: The Agony and the Ecstasy

The Cubs and Indians try to end championship droughts in MLB’s 2016 finale.

MLB: World Series-Chicago Cubs at Cleveland Indians Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Today is the day. It’s Game 7 of the World Series and one of the most anticipated showdowns of all-time. The Cubs have surged from a 3-1 deficit to force a decisive seventh game in Cleveland.

So it’s Corey Kluber on three days’ rest again leading the way for Cleveland’s attempt to snap a 68-year championship drought against Kyle Hendricks, trying to end Chicago’s 108-year schneid. Andrew Miller, Cody Allen, Aroldis Chapman, Jon Lester... everyone you can imagine is available, even Game 6 starter Jake Arrieta.

Game 7 will start at 8:00 sharp on FOX, so don’t miss it. Baseball has been a blast in 2016, and it’s too bad that it has to go, but at least it’s going out with a bang. The only shame is that one fanbase is going to be absolutely heartbroken.

Oh well. Go baseball. Eat Arby’s.
