Around the Empire

For the Win | Ted Berg: Alex Rodriguez is having a magnificent postseason. While A-Rod is not contributing with his bat, his baseball acumen and superb analysis have shined a light on him in the Fox Sports broadcast booth. While the Yankees want him to be their minor league instructor, A-Rod is showing that the YES booth might also be a potential destination. While DadRod is still the best Rod, AnalystRod is definitely in the top 3 list of Rods.

Today’s Knuckleball | Jon Heyman: Jon Heyman, or Fred as he’s known to baristas across the country, claims that Derek Holland of the Texas Rangers might be available. According to one of his sources, possibly a barista, the Rangers might be willing to move the left-hander to get him off the books. The Yankees could be interested in his services.

Yankees Magazine | Jon Schwartz: There is a lot to look forward to in 2017. One of those things is the return of Greg Bird. The AFL has given us a glimpse into his recovery. This article talks about his road back and what he has dealt with. Please give this a read.

MLB.com | Jonathan Mayo: Speaking of the AFL, the Fall Stars Game is coming up this Saturday at 8PM EST. It will be broadcast on MLB Network. Gleyber Torres and Dillon Tate will represent the Yankees in this game. You will also have the chance to vote for Miguel Andujar to join them in the Final Two Fan Vote. Go do so right now!
