LoHud Yankees Blog | Chad Jennings: Brian McCann has already publicly acknowledged that Gary Sanchez is the current and future starting catcher for the Yankees. He, at least publicly, knows there’s no way he’ll be the starting catcher for this team as long as Sanchez is around. That being said, McCann says that he would like to return to this team.

CBS New York: The Yankees already started to get younger during the 2016 season. Now with Mark Teixeira leaving, and younger kids “knocking on the door” the Yankees could figure to get even younger over the winter. The problem isn’t getting a chance, the problem is sticking but if these kids show they belong, it seems like the Yankees have no problem putting their hopes on their shoulders.

LoHud Yankees Blog | Chad Jennings: As of right now, this would be the Yankees 2017 Opening Day roster. While it’s far from a lock as the Yankees will likely make at least some moves between now and then, for the most part it doesn’t seem like much would change here. One interesting thing to note is that this predicts Severino in the rotation and Green in the bullpen. Let’s see how that battle plays out.

LoHud Yankees Blog | Chad Jennings: The Yankees will have Tim Tebow as a teammate! To clarify, Tim Tebow will officially be heading to the Arizona Fall League and joining the Scottsdale Scorpions’ roster. With that, Greg Bird, Gleyber Torres and the other Yankees going to the AFL will be teammates with Tebow. I can only anticipate Tebow and #GREGBIRD striking up a friendship that will lead everyone to call them TeBird. That’s all I have to say on this.

Fox Sports | Tim Durr: NASCAR driver Martin Truex Jr. met with Joe Girardi on Sunday and while Truex was chasing a championship, he and Girardi met regarding their charities and their foundations and what they do. One of the bigger causes they discussed was ovarian cancer awareness, as Truex’s longtime girlfriend is a survivor and Girardi lost his mother to the disease.
