World Series Game 5 open thread: Cleveland tries to break the drought

Up 3-1 in the series, Cleveland could take home the title tonight, but can the Cubs stay alive?

MLB: World Series-Cleveland Indians at Chicago Cubs Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports

Today could be the final day of the 2016 season. The win last night put Cleveland ahead, three games to one. They can take snap their 68-year World Series drought tonight and amazingly become Cleveland’s second championship team of 2016 after over 50 years of nothing at all.

I like baseball though, and I would like there to be more baseball. So I’ll be rooting for the Cubs and Jon Lester to come through at Wrigley and force a Game 6 on Tuesday back in Cleveland. Either way, the game will be on FOX at 8:15.

Go baseball, go baseball.
