Cleveland goes for the sweep; Cubs try to win on the road

MLB: NLCS-Los Angeles Dodgers at Chicago Cubs Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports

After improbably winning Game 3 last night in which they lost their starting pitcher to a bloody finger, the Cleveland Indians are one win away from the World Series. They’ll try to get there this afternoon on the back of Corey Kluber going up against Aaron Sanchez. The Jays look to force a Game 5 and prevent Cleveland from bringing home their first American League pennant in 19 years.

Kluber has yet to allow a run this postseason while Sanchez struggled in his last start. Should the Indians prevail, it will be really difficult to decide whether Andrew Miller or Kluber should be awarded the series MVP. Both have been terrific.

You can watch that game at 4:00 pm on TBS.

Nothing can be decided in the National League game tonight, but it feels like an important game all the same. The Cubs lost a tough 1-0 game against Clayton Kershaw at Wrigley that tied the series. Now they’ll need to grab some important wins on the road out west.

Chicago’s offense has had their moments, but they’ve been largely inconsistent. Facing a pitcher like Kershaw will do that, but the Cubs can’t afford to not put runs up against Rich Hill tonight. The Dodgers will try to take a series lead at home after managing to steal a game on the road.

The NL game will be on FS1 at 8:00 pm.
