Around the Empire

Newsday | Erik Boland: Andrew Miller is currently on the Cleveland Indians. Very soon, he might help sweep the Red Sox out of the players. That’d be swell. The former Yankees’ game enderer had some words of praise about current closer Dellin Betances. Betances had a bit of a rough end to the season. Still, Miller thinks that Dellin is still the best. What a great friendship these two have.

New York Daily News | Anthony McCarron: One of the greatest moments in Yankee history is when Don Larsen pitched a perfect game during the World Series. To this day, it is still the only perfect game to be thrown during a World Series game. Don Larsen said that it would not have happened without Yogi Berra behind the plate. The 60th anniversary of this game was Saturday.

LoHud Yankees Blog | Chad Jennings: Here is a quick recap of all the news during the Yankees’ first week in the offseason. Larry Rothschild will return as the pitching coach. CC Sabathia will undergo routine surgery to clean up his knee. Brian McCann is open to being the DH this year. James Kaprielian will be sent to the Arizona Fall League game. As the days go by.

It’s Fashion Week on Pinstripe Alley. This classic Madonna song asks you to strike a pose cause there’s nothing to it. I suggest everyone try that if the Indians sweep the Red Sox out of the playoffs tonight. As always, please link us your song of the day.
