PSA Comments of the Day 1/8/16: Seal my Fate

It's an even year so the San Francisco Giants will win the World Series. The fate of the baseball season is sealed.

"Dusty Baker? Ah! I'm off to San Fran!"
"Dusty Baker? Ah! I'm off to San Fran!"
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The 2016 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants have made a move towards their eventual championship. Everyone knows this is happening, this is why no one is question the moves they make (or don't make). Their first big move was signing free agent starter Johnny Cueto and Jeff Samardzija (I totally spelled that right on my first try, I didn't look it up) to give Madison Bumgarner some help in the rotation. Their next big move came yesterday when they signed free agent outfielder Denard Span to bolster their outfield. The signing gives the Giants another outfielder along with Gregor Blanco and Angel Pagan to split time in left and center while Hunter Pence mans right field. The deal Spans 3 years for $31 million, so it's not too bad for the team. Also, that last sentence was the only reason I wanted to talk about this deal.

In other news, the Royals have inked Chien-Ming Wang to a minor league deal. First of all, it's absolutely news to me that he's still pitching, and secondly this signing made me sad about the lost potential. Oh what could have been if not for damn inter-league play. Damn you, inter-league. DAAAAAAAAAAMNNNNNNN YOUUUUUUUU!

Comments of the Day

Comments there were a plenty, yet none of them worthy.

GIF of the Day

Because Greg Bird prefers manual labor over automatic.

Honorable Mod Mention

Norman Charlie wins for---ah screw it, Norman wins for his look into the state of first base in the AL East. Also because though he's the Green Goblin, he hasn't attacked us...yet.

Fun Questions

  • NFL playoffs start tomorrow. Are you rooting for any team to win it all?
  • Snow: love it or hate it?

Song of the Day

Seal My Fate by Belly

It's Rick and Morty week on PSA. This song seemed appropriate as the Giants made their move to seal their World Series for this year. Either that or they go belly-up in their quest to be the conquerors of even years. Whichever of the two happens, this song works so ha! Take that! As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. Okay, I didn't spell Shark's name right on the first try and I did look it up. I originally had it as "Somecomboofletters" which I think was pretty close.
