PSA Comments of the Day 1/7/16: Into the Hall

Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza are heading into the Hall of Fame.

Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports

The Hall of Fame inductees were announced yesterday. Cooperstown will welcome Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza into the Hall this year. This was Griffey's first year on the Hall of Fame and was named on 99.3% of all the ballots. Rumor has it that the three members of the BBWAA who didn't vote for him are currently still at large. They are to be considered armed and extremely delirious. If see, they should be flogged on sight. Meanwhile, this was Piazza's fourth year on the ballot and he finally got enough votes to put him into the Hall, where he belongs. One would think that the Mets will soon announce when they are retiring his number #31 at Citi Field sometime in the future. It would be really odd for them not to do so, but never put anything past the Wilpons. In terms of the Yankees, Griffey's former teammate had a message for him.

Comments of the Day

Unless Brandon Pinder is a Water/Ground type, in which case Electric attacks would have no effect on him. That's just common sense though.

  • Jorge Posada is on the ballot next year. Do you think he makes it into the Hall of Fame?

For The Damaged Coda by Blonde Redhead

It's Rick and Morty week on Pinstripe Alley. This is one of those occasions where I love this show for introducing me to a really nice song. As always, please link us your song of the day.
