PSA Comments of the Day 1/6/15: Get Schwifty

It's time to get schwifty. While Brian Cashman himself hasn't gotten schwifty this year thus far, other GMs in baseball have recovered from their Christmas and New Year's hangovers and have gotten back to work. The Dodgers are still finalizing their deal with Kenta Maeda, supposedly this is taking longer to finalize over concerns regarding his elbow. This is probably just a precaution though, they don't want anyone to say they Maeda bad move. Also Ryan Howard and Ryan Zimmerman have decided to file a suit against Al-Jazeera for defamation. I imagine the conversation went like this:

Zimmerman: I didn't do it, I ain't lyin'
Howard: I didn't do it either, I ain't lyin'
William Burck (attorney for both players): They didn't do it, they're not Ryan! I mean...lyin'!

Anyway, back to news that's not really related to the Yankees, but it could be if I will this to happen hard enough. The Nationals are said to be in the market for catchers. While the recent trade of John Ryan Murphy for Aaron Hicks removes the surplus the Yankees had, I believe if they were to offer up a Bryce Harper or a Bryce Harper, perhaps even a Bryce Harper, Cashman might be persuaded to thin out his catching depth. I'd even give up Austin Romine in that deal. Who wouldn't? And just for good measure....throw in Nova.
