PSA Comments of the Day 1/28/16: Life in the fast lane

Dear Pittsburgh, Austin Romine might be available in the right trade.

Want me to stay? $39 million, please!
Want me to stay? $39 million, please!
Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Former Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli made headlines yesterday after news came out that he is open to signing an extension with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Cervelli, who was part of the trade last season that brought Justin Wilson to the Yankees, has one more year left on his deal before he can become a free agent. It's a somewhat odd move for Cervelli, because if he has another year similar to 2015, he can become one of the top free agent catchers on next season's market, along with Matt Weiters. Perhaps Cervelli just knows his past and how he doesn't usually stay healthy, so maybe he just wants to cash in on his successful season. Either way, it's probably silly for him to ask for $39 million at this point. Worst case scenario, the Pirates do have a reputation for acquiring catchers who were on the Yankees at some point. So, Andrew McCutchen for Austin Romine? Who says no? (Hint: It's Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh says no.)

In more important news though, following the awesome Greg Bird shirts, comes PSA Shirt II: A-Rod shirt! Buy yours now. If you purchase seven, you get a special prize!*

Song of the Day

Life in the Fast Lane by Eagles

It's Glenn Frey week on Pinstripe Alley. I was actually listening to Bad Meets Evil's Fast Lane earlier today and it reminded me of this song by the Eagles. The songs are pretty different, but they had one thing in common, they were good. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day.

*Special prize is having a different Rod shirt for each day of the week.
