PSA Comments of the Day 9/8/15: A certain ornithological piece

The Yankees won yesterday afternoon's game and the Orioles have now heard.

Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

Before we get to the Yankees winning and Greg Bird doing Greg Bird things, we should take a moment to talk about Alex Rodriguez. What a comeback year this has been for him. Yesterday he hit his 29th home run of the year. No one, save for one brave, heroic, dashing, and intrepid Pinstripe Alley writer could have predicted this. Modesty aside, you simply have to marvel at what he has accomplished. There's still plenty of September left for him to impress us a bit more. Hopefully some October as well. As for Greg Bird, it almost seems like Yankee Stadium III was build for that man's swing. He hasn't been up for long and he already has five home runs, which is not too shabby. Losing Mark Teixeira to injury really sucks, but it's nice to see Bird stepping up in the Yankees' time of need. Here's hoping he steps up again tonight as the Yankees continue their series with the Orioles, who have now heard.

Song of the Day

Three Little Birds by Bob Marley

It's For The Birds week on Pinstripe Alley. Every song this week will have something to do with birds, only because it's easier to find than songs that have something to do with Gregs. Believe me, I looked. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. Masahiro Tanaka is on the hill for the Yankees in the second game of this three game series. Another series win would be ideal. Make it so.
