PSA Comments of the Day 9/1815: The final stretch

The Yankees now begin their final 17 game stretch of the season. Their first stop is Citi Field.

Gonna be a long grind
Gonna be a long grind
Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

It's going to be a long grind to the end of the 2015 regular season. Yesterday was the Yankees' final day of the year. Now they begin a 17 game stretch that will finish off the season, unless they make the postseason that is. Right now, the odds are in our pinstriped favor. Tonight, they begin in Citi Field and face the resurgent New York Mets for a three game series this weekend. After this series, they head to Toronto for their final three games against the Blue Jays. These two teams are the only teams the Yankees will face with an above .500 record. It's probably better to face them at the beginning of this long grind rather than the end. Make no mistake, this is not the same Mets team the Yankees faced earlier in the year. David Wright is back and Yoenis Cespedes has been doing wonders for them.

Comments of the Day

Interesting idea, actually.

GIF of the Day

No GIFs yesterday. Sorry.

Honorable Mod Mention

No honor to be had either. So sorry.

Fun Questions

  • Best experience on the subway? (If you don't live in NYC, talk about the fast food Subway then)
  • Worst experience on the subway? (Ditto)

Song of the Day

Break My Stride by Matthew Wilder

It's Comeback Week on Pinstripe Alley. Seriously, I love this song so very much. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. The Subway Series is once again upon us. Masahiro Tanaka gets the start tonight. His last couple of outings have been pretty magnificent. Here's hoping he keeps that up.
