PSA Comments of the Day 9/10/15: This series is a tad important

New, 575 comments

The Yankees will face the Blue Jays in a four game series. One could say that this series is pretty important.

Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports

The series against the Orioles was bad and kind of painful. Wasting a fantastic start from Masahiro Tanaka and losing by one run on Tuesday was bad enough. Stephen Drew practically handing the Orioles three runs yesterday was equally as bad, if not worse. That's in the past now. While the Yankees could have been ahead of the Blue Jays in the AL East by winning those games, the fact of the matter is that they're still only 1.5 games behind them. Now they will play them in a four game series. Any number of things could happen here. The Yankees could pull ahead of the Blue Jays in the standings. The Blue Jays could bury us further into Wild Card elimination game oblivion. Or they could wind up equally gaining no ground and remain 1.5 games back. September baseball is awesome.

Fun Questions

  • How many pairs of shoes do you own?
  • Football starts tonight. How do you think your team will do this year?

Song of the Day

Blackbird by The Beatles

It's For The Birds week on Pinstripe Alley. Such a beautiful and simple song from The Beatles. Pretty much had to include this. Couldn't very well use Blue Jay Way today. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. Luis Severino will face off against David Price in the first game of this four game series. This should be an exciting game tonight.
