After a weekend of utterly crushing the Braves with their mighty offense, the Yankees left their ability to hit with RISP in Atlanta as they fell to the last place, gutter-dwelling Red Sox by a score of 4-3. They lost by one run in a game where they loaded the bases a total of four times, two of those times with no outs. It is hard to imagine a more frustrating way to lose a ballgame, especially with a team that employs Jean Machi as their current closer. Machi got some absolutely gift calls on balls and strikes in the 9th inning, but that does not excuse all the runners left in scoring position the entire night. Ugh. Let's just win today, please.

I still love that Matt F has made this a thing.
Kickstarter to make sure Waffles attends every Yankee game in September.
That would be the last time anyone in the Yankee Universe felt joy in August.

Song of the Day
Happy Together by The Turtles
It's Songs In Commercials Week on Pinstripe Alley. I figured we could all use this song after what happened yesterday. Plus, it was featured in one of the greatest Nintendo commercials of all time. As always, please link us your song of the day.
Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. Michael Pineda takes the mound in the second game of this three game series. Substantial Miguel was not very substantial in his return start, so here's hoping he comes back with a vengeance tonight.
