It's another edition of Yankees vs. Red Sox tonight in the Bronx, as the Yanks look to take care of business against a last-place Boston squad. The story of the series for Yankees fans will be Luis Severino 's eagerly anticipated MLB debut tomorrow night, but for Red Sox fans, their eyes will be fixated on their 23-year-old rookie lefty Owens, who is their top pitching prospect yet to make his debut.
Like Severino, Owens will be tested on a big stage, and that lineup is certainly a tough one to face for his first career appearance. Hopefully the Yankees can handle the kid--despite some fans' trepidations about unfamiliarity, they are actually 8-1 against starters making their MLB debuts since the beginning of 2011. It would also be nice to see Masahiro Tanaka get back in the groove after a shaky start in Texas. You can catch the game at 7:05pm on YES Network, NESN, MLB Network, or MLB.tv.
Go Yankees, go baseball, go #TANAK.
