The Yankees did not begin the month of August very well, as absolutely nothing was working for them yesterday. Thus far, July was a lot better. It's only one game though and no matter what, the Yankees will at least split this road trip before they head back to the Bronx. It would be really nice to head back home with another series win though. They will have to hope that Ivan Nova is up to the task or that the offense can once again score eight or thirteen runs. Either would be fine, really.
Comments of the Day
Perhaps LTL and I should have tried to smuggle him back to NYC with us yesterday.
GIF of the Day
There were no GIFs yesterday. I am sorry.
Honorable Mod Mention
Well since he's the only one who had a COTD yesterday, I guess Harlan earns the HMM.
Fun Questions
- What's the longest amount of time you've driven a car or been in a car?
- If you could have a car horn make any silly sound you wanted, what would you pick?
Song of the Day
Allentown by Billy Joel
Due to a little gathering at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre yesterday, it's now PA Songs Week on Pinstripe Alley. We'll be dealing with songs that have something to do with the state of Pennsylvania. Our first selection is Allentown, since it was the first song LTL and I thought of during the drive. As always, please link us your song of the day.
Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. Ivan Nova is healthy, despite what certain radio hosts have said, and he will pitch this afternoon. Here's hoping he pitches well against the White Sox.
