PSA Comments of the Day 7/31/15: Coming down to the wire

New, 139 comments

The Yankees wind up splitting the series after a frustrating loss to the Rangers. Meanwhile, all eyes are on Brian Cashman as the trade deadline nears its conclusion.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

To get into what happened in yesterday's game would just be depressing or anger inducing. Okay, a quick break down. The Yankees offense was acceptably good. CC Sabathia was bad, yet again. Jacoby Ellsbury misplayed a ball and Carlos Beltran could not get off his lawn chair. Overall, just an annoying loss. Meanwhile, the focus right now is on what Brian Cashman is going to do before the trade deadline ends. Do your thing, Ninja Cash.

Comments of the Day

Oh, this happened alright.

Oh Mets...

Oh yeah, and Michael Pineda is injured. Sigh.

The world needs laughter right now.

Opinions about the Yankees acquiring Dustin Ackley

Ah well.

Cotham needs a hero.

Ahhh Yankee fans.

What's funny is, I was yelling "SI. SI." later on during this game.

Always funny.

Rua pungineering.

It did.

This is pretty much an exact image from the game.

Again, the world needs laughter right now.

GIF of the Day

It was that kind of day.

The primary reaction of fear when hearing that Michael Pineda is injured.

Ellsgard is love!

Mark Teixeira is love!

Carlos Beltran is dead!

Honorable Mod Mention

This HMM goes out to all the mods who are keeping on point with all the trade deadline stuff. Great job everyone.

  • Name other hilarious jobs that CC Sabathia can do other than pitch.

Toys 'R Us Jingle

It's Commercial Jingle Week on Pinstripe Alley. You know, I still don't want to grow up, even though I'm no longer a Toys R Us kid. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. Nathan Eovaldi takes the mound against the red hot White Sox this evening. Here's hoping that Nate is indeed nasty and continues his great pitching.
