PSA Comments of the Day 7/25/15: That was a whoopin'

New, 2 comments

So yeah, that happened. Brush it off and start a new winning streak tonight, Yankees.

Hmmmm. That shouldn't be there...

Well, that happened. We haven't seen the Yankees get beat like that in quite some time. To be fair though, we haven't seen the Yankees lose that often this month. It was only their fifth loss in the month of July. Not too shabby. These types of games happen to every team, no matter how good they are. Michael Pineda did not have his best stuff and Phil Hughes did. These are not the same Twins we are use to facing. Their offense is pretty good, as we just saw last night. The plus side is that thanks to the Mariners beating the Blue Jays last night, the Yankees did not lose any ground on their lead over the second place team. So yeah, laugh that game off and come back strong tonight.

Comments of the Day

Agreed. Hopefully Nathan Eovaldi evolves into his perfect form one day.

How dare David Robertson not be the greatest closer of all time?

The Yankees did not do the thing.

Eduardo Nunez could have shared some Grand Slams with us last night. But no, he was selfish.

That is Quills in an elf costume. You're welcome.

GIF of the Day

No important GIFs from yesterday. Ah well.

Honorable Mod Mention

Caitlin definitely earns the HMM for having to recap that disaster last night. Kudos to you, Caitlin!

Fun Questions

  • What food do you think goes best with sports?
  • From 1-10, how do you rank on the hoarder scale? (1 for "I hate things" and 10 for "Drowning in a sea of useless stuff")

Song of the Day

Get Back by The Beatles

It's the last day of Beatles Week on Pinstripe Alley. I'd like to thank you on behalf of the group, and I hope they passed the audition. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. CC Sabathia takes the mound for the Yankees tonight. His last outing was pretty good. Here's hoping he can repeat it tonight.
