Yankees vs. Mariners: A Cy Young winner vs. Felix

The Yankees look to take two out of three against the Mariners in the first series of the second half.

Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

The Yankees will try to win the rubber match of their three game set against the Seattle Mariners after dropping Saturday's afternoon matchup. After his heroics on Friday, Alex Rodriguez looked extremely uncomfortable against Hisashi Iwakuma's splitter and Fernando Rodney's changeup. With Felix Hernandez, the owner of one of baseball's best offspeed pitches on the mound, A-Rod has his work cut out for him in the cage.

Speaking of King Felix, the Yankees tagged him for seven runs over less than five innings of work in June. CC Sabathia will take the mound for the Yankees. The southpaw will look to quiet Robinson Cano, who hit two homers on Saturday and drove in all four of Seattle's runs. The Yankees are off on Monday, so it would certainly be nice to roll into the off day on a high note.
