Four days. It has been four days since we have seen the New York Yankees play baseball. We did see Brett Gardner, Mark Teixeira, and Dellin Betances play in the All-Star game on Tuesday. If you watched the ESPYs last night, then you also saw Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter as well. It's still not the same though. The Yankees are in first place in the AL East. Rob Refsynder is now up in the majors. Jacoby Ellsbury and Andrew Miller are back from the DL. The AL East is up for grabs and now it's time to see if the Yankees can seize the opportunity. You know, once they start actually playing baseball again. Soon.
Comments of the Day
Just wait till we start actually charging you to read Pinstripe Alley. We already accept booze.
Joe Buck and Harold Reynolds are quite possibly the only downside of the Yankees making it to the World Series.
Get it done, Cash.
Cannot imagine what that amount would be in Yen.
CC Sabathia is definitely going to be a topic of discussion going into the second half.
GIF of the Day
Prof. Mahbles thoughts on the Yankees trading for Jonathan Papelbon. Understandable, really.
Honorable Mod Mention
The HMM goes to Caitlin for having the resolve to write about trading for Papelbon without breaking into vicious profanity like lesser, Greg Kirklandier mods would have.
- Come up with more hilarious ways to decide home field advantage in the World Series.
- Which Yankee player will you have your eye on the most in the second half of the season?
Song of the Day
Double Vision by Foreigner
Foreigner pretty much always pops into my head when I think of classic, cheesy rock. As always, please link us your song of the day.
Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. Still no baseball. Still no anything. One more day to go.
