New York Yankees vs. Philadelphia Phillies: CC Sabathia vs. Sean O'Sullivan

Let's actually beat the worst team in baseball, please?

Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

Oof. Last night stunk in a big bad way. Big Mike was more like Moderate Mike, and the Yankees couldn't overcome his bad start despite scoring eight runs. I'm down for scoring eight more runs, but hopefully CC Sabathia will limit the damage from Maikel Franco and company. CC will be throwing down tonight with Sean O'Sullivan, who isn't exactly the best starter in the world. O'Sullivan drags a 4.79 ERA (5.63 FIP) into tonight's start and with the way the Yankees have been hitting at home of late, I expect him to get knocked around a bit.

Because this is the 2015 New York Yankees, there were a few roster moves today. Our good buddy Stephen Drew was placed on the paternity list, so there seems to be a little Drew on the way. Good for Stephen. Also, Ramon Flores was optioned down to Scranton. Replacing them on the active roster are Bryan Mitchell and Jose Pirela. Pirela will tend to second base, and Mitchell will presumably go to the bullpen. Below are tonight's lineups, and the game can be viewed at 7:05 on YES. Welcome to your first Stellini-hosted game thread, sports fans!

EDIT: Welp, folks, we've got ourselves the first rain delay of the season. We'll edit this post when we know the time the game will start up.

EDIT 2: Yankees have announced first pitch will be at 8:25. Hooray!
