Yesterday was Old-Timers' Day at Yankee Stadium, and it was an absolute treat. Willie Randolph was honored with his very own plaque in Monument Park. Watching the montage of his tenure in pinstripes was a solid reminder that before Robinson Cano, we hadn't had that caliber of a second baseman in a long time. It was a well deserved plaque for Willie, and one hopes that he gets another chance to manage a baseball team some time in the future. In a continuation of honoring previous Yankees that had worn #30, Mel Stottlemyre was surprised with a plaque of his own for Monument Park. His speech was very touching and feels inducing. Another well deserved plaque for a wonderful man. Congrats Mel.
After the Old-Timers' Day celebration was completed, the 2015 Yankees went to work and boy did they. I've attended quite a number of games this past couple of years and I haven't been witness to a good ol' fashioned bludgeoning in a long time. The Bronx Bombers lived up to their nickname as Didi Gregorius, Alex Rodriguez, Chris Young, and Carlos Beltran all hit dingers tonight. Beltran hit two actually. Nathan Eovaldi also turned in a pretty good performance on the mound, holding the Tigers to just three hits over six innings. Now the Yankees will go for the sweep with Masahiro Tanaka on the mound.
Comments of the Day
Gotta love Willie.
Can confirm that David Cone loves Pinstripe Alley.
Max Scherzer pitched a no-hitter yesterday. Not too shabby.
My god, it's full of puns.

And here we see Carlos Beltran stepping up to the plate.
Honorable Mod Mention
The HMM goes to Harlan for this brilliant comment from yesterday's game thread.
- Art: What do you draw or what would you like to draw if you could?
- How many strike outs will Tanaka have today?
Song of the Day
Being Again by Knife Party
I remember I Shazam'd this song when I was out one day cause I liked it. I still do. As always, please link us your song of the day.
Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. It's Tanaka Time in the Bronx as the Yankees attempt to sweep the Tigers.
