PSA Comments of the Day 6/1/15: Substantial Miguel vs. King Felix

New, comments

The month of June begins with an exciting pitching battle in Seattle.

That four game series against the Athletics did not go according to plan. Nor did much of the month of May. The Yankees had a record of 13-16 during the last month, headlined by some frustrating, brutal, and downright embarrassing losses. There were still some exciting wins in the mix as well, but some of the primary weaknesses of this team are becoming more prevalent. Injuries still suck as well. Thankfully, the Yankees are still in first thanks to the overall impotence of the AL East. May is done and June is here.

The Yankees will be getting back Masahiro Tanaka on Wednesday, which will hopefully solve some of the rotation and bullpen issues. Jose Pirela has started two games in a row while Stephen Drew has hopefully been relegated to the defensive replacement role he's meant to play at this point in time. Adam Warren has started to show real promise in his past four starts. Brian McCann, Carlos Beltran, and Chase Headley are beginning to heat up with the bat. Recent call up Ramon Flores has thus far impressed with his defensive skills. Overall, the Yankees are still in a good position to remain in first place for the foreseeable future. They begin the month of June in Seattle, facing off again Felix Hernandez. Good luck.

Comments of the Day

Oh, cause of Babe Ruth. I get it.

Go Notes are go.

Here's hoping the Yankees are doing this.

Well...I mean, now that I have permission from Stephen Drew to do so, I guess it's time to go "full Mitre" on him.

I mean, I guess it's cool. Personally, I'd be more impressed if it were Aaron Judge rather than Mr. X Bag here.

So get on the Flores and dance with me!

PSA: Always on the Mark.

No. No it's not.

Defeat!

Honorable Mod Mention

Since it was the last day of May, and it was not an honorable month, no one gets it. Better luck in June, fellow mods.

Song of the Day

Thunderball by Tom Jones

It's James Bond Week on Pinstripe Alley. Sing it, Tom Jones. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. It's Michael Pineda vs. Felix Hernandez. This should be a great pitching duel. Start off June the right way, Yankees. Win. (Just not with homers, of course).
