PSA Comments of the Day 5/28/15: From the Bronx to the Bay Area

The Yankees just swept the Royals, one of the best teams in baseball. Now they are in Oakland to face the Athletics, one of the worst teams in baseball, for a four game series.

Winning is fun. Sweeping series are "funerer." Sweeping a series against the one of the best teams in baseball? That's right below sweeping the Red Sox for the "funerist!" Even though we didn't need the sweep the Royals to feel better about the Yankees, it was a wonderful reminder of what this team is capable of when it's good. Now they head to the west coast to face the Oakland Athletics, the worst team in the American League. The A's are only one win better than the worst team in all of baseball, the Milwaukee Brewers. Needless to say, this is a series that you definitely want the Yankees to do more than tie. Obviously, this is true about any series but... look, just don't lose against the A's. Please.

Go Win with the Go Notes

Classic PSA right here.

Go pineapple indeed.

A CBS Soap Opera if I've ever heard one.

Hope they got punch and cake.

Let's do this, Yankees Universe

GIF of the Day

Some kind of sorcery.

Yankee fans, ladies and gentlemen.

Honorable Mod Mention

So yeah, Matt P clearly wins the HMM for this ultimate of "callin' its" over the past two series. Well done.

Fun Questions

  • For pure fun, silly reference purposes, make up a player's name that you'd like to see on the Yankees. (For example, a player with the last name of Flanders would be awesome for Simpsons references)
  • How many pop up foul territory outs will we see tonight in Oakland?

Song of the Day

California Gurls by Katy Perry

This video is an acid trip. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. The CC Sabathia will take the mound in the Coliseum. The Yankees will look to continue their winning ways.
