Winning is fun. Sweeping series are "funerer." Sweeping a series against the one of the best teams in baseball? That's right below sweeping the Red Sox for the "funerist!" Even though we didn't need the sweep the Royals to feel better about the Yankees, it was a wonderful reminder of what this team is capable of when it's good. Now they head to the west coast to face the Oakland Athletics, the worst team in the American League. The A's are only one win better than the worst team in all of baseball, the Milwaukee Brewers. Needless to say, this is a series that you definitely want the Yankees to do more than tie. Obviously, this is true about any series but... look, just don't lose against the A's. Please.
