Yankees vs. Royals: Sabathia vs. Duffy

The Yankees look to avoid losing their fifth straight against the AL Central leading Royals.

Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

The Yankees offense during the last four games has looked all too familiar after the last two seasons. The Bronx Bombers will try to regain their offensive success against Danny Duffy (2-2, 5.67 ERA), Kansas City's hard-throwing lefty. On the mound for the Yankees is CC Sabathia (1-5, 5.20 ERA). The Tampa Bay Rays are lurking just a game behind the Yankees for the AL East lead, so a win would be more than welcome.

As ugly as the last few games have been, they have bought multiple days off for Yankee relievers Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller. With everyone well rested, we might just see a battle of two of the best bullpens in baseball. In a move that is sure to be popular with the Pinstripe Alley faithful, lefty killer Chris Young will take Brett Gardner's spot in the lineup, while Carlos Beltran will play in right. But with an .864 OPS in May, it looks like Beltran is finally breaking out of his early season slump.
