What would it take to snag Troy Tulowitzki?

It's been plastered over the news that Troy Tulowitzki is mulling over a trade request to the Colorado Rockies brass. After an 11-8 start to the season, the Colorado Rockies have proceeded to lose 10 straight as of May 12. They've fallen 9.5 games out of first in the National League West, and 4.5 games out of a wild card berth. Though it is still early, one would think with their recent play, the gap would only grow wider.

Which begs the question, if a trade were to be made, would the Yankees have the prospects to get the face of the Colorado Rockies franchise? A huge stumbling block in a potential trade is the $94 million left on his contract. Money is no problem in the Bronx, and that alone has given the Yanks a leg up over other potential suitors (namely the Mets and to a certain extent, the Seattle Mariners). This leaves us to coming up with a prospect package that might entice the Colorado front office.

(I am on the fence whether the Yankees should do the trade. This is more of a hypothetical discussion)

My guess is that the New York Yankees brass would need to cough up 3 of prospects on this list plus one supplementary piece.

The front office, by all means, should keep Luis Severino and Aaron Judge. This also means that the likelihood of the Colorado Rockies accepting the trade decreases quite a bit.

This is the trade package that should be proposed:

New York Yankees get:

SS Troy Tulowitzki

PTBNL

Colorado Rockies get:

C Gary Sanchez

RHP Bryan Mitchell

SS Jorge Mateo

3B Eric Jagielo or 2B/RF Robert Refsnyder

Even if the Yankees do pick up all of the $94 million, the prospect package might not be enough to entice the Colorado Rockies. Given Troy's lengthy injury history, it wouldn't be wise to give up both of our prized prospects in Severino and Judge.
