New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays: Adam Warren vs. Nathan Karns

Warren Peace vs. Not Nasty Nate.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Today the Yankees will take on the Tampa Bay Rays for the second series against their AL East rival, but this one will take place in the Bronx instead of the Stadium Which Will Not Be Named. The Yankees will have Adam Warren, Chase Whitley, and Masahiro Tanaka pitching in order against the Rays, and Whitley will give Tanaka a day of rest tomorrow.

Jacoby Ellsbury is back in the lineup after missing limited time because of hip tightness, Didi Gregorius is back in the lineup after getting last night off, and the biggest absence is Chase Headley who is getting a scheduled off-day. Who is filling in? Well, it's Alex Rodriguez of course; this will be his first start at third base since April 13th. He was respectable at third base in 2013 when he recorded 0.3 UZR/150, but that seems like ancient history now. I doubt he's a total liability, but we'll see.

The game will start at 7:05 PM EST, and you can watch it on MLB.tv, or YES locally. You can also listen to the game on WFAN, if hearing John Sterling wax poetic on A-Rod at third base is your cup of tea.
