PSA Comments of the Day 4/16/15: Off Day Open Thread

When your current start to the season is compared to the 1991 Yankees, that's not a good thing.

But why did the cow kick Nelly in the belly in the barn?

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

It has been a while since the New York Yankees have started off a season so poorly. This start has been compared to the start of the 1991 season, which is not the most highly regarded era of Yankee Baseball. Still though, we're only two weeks into the season. There is still plenty of time to turn those frowns upside down. Oh wait, they're heading to Tropicana Field to play the Rays tomorrow. The frown has returned.

Comments of the Day

I always thought you served Bailey's cold. Shows what I know.

Yeah, this seems kinda...cheap?

LTL and I will be there in person to say hi to Rookie.

What a write-up.

What a wish

Lo and behold, Carlos Beltran did indeed show signs of life.

So did Mr. Alex Rodriguez.

Nathan Eovaldi was fantastic in the movie Shoot 'Em Up.

Only yesterday when I was sad

I agree with Sokka

Hooray for small victories.

And we're done here.

GIF of the Day

Baseball Bugs. Always relevant.

Bronx Chica thinking about someone bunting against CC Sabathia lead to this GIF. I concur.

A-Rod did stuff.

The Yankees bullpen yesterday, in GIF form.

I miss Victor.

Honorable Mod Mention

You know what? I'm still blaming Andrew. Curse you, Mearns!

Fun Questions
  • You're Joe Girardi. You're holding a team meeting on this off day. What's the first thing you bring up to everybody?
  • Complete this sentence: This [insert type of cheese] goes best with [insert type of meat, vegetable, or fruit].
Song of the Day

Strangers by Raj Ramayya

Today's entry into Songs from Anime Week comes from Wolf's Rain. This is one of the most beautiful songs to come out of Japan, in my opinion. As always, please link us your Song of the Day.

Feel free to use this as an open thread. Today is an off day as the Yankees head to Tampa Bay to face the Rays. Yay.

While the golden flowers bloom.
