Jose Fernandez was a heavy topic of discussion here yesterday and for good reason. The Marlins, while obviously hesitant to move their young stud pitcher, might be swayed to do so for the right price. Brian Cashman has said in the past that the right player would have to come along for the Yankees to consider trading away some of their top prospects. With reports of Fernandez being unhappy in Loria's World surfacing, this might be the right player. It would be a long shot, and it would be a hefty price to pay, but man would he look good in pinstripes. Logically speaking, all signs point to this not happening. Illogically speaking, GET IT DONE, CASH!I think one thing that has a lot of people sort of down on the Yankees lately is that we're use to them making some kind of splash during the offseason. It doesn't help to see the Red Sox trade away a Wade Miley and get a significant bullpen upgrade in Carson Smith for him. Even without that happening, nothing is really happening in the Yankees' Universe right now. Making a huge trade for a Jose Fernandez type player would set the baseball world on fire. It would be nice to have that feeling again. It would also be really nice to have Jose Fernandez on the team. Free him from the evil clutches of Loria, Cash!

You know, all they have to do is get Nunez back and have him share lockers with Jacoby Ellsbury.

There. Brett Gardner has been trademarked. So I guess we just wait for that cost controlled started to appear then.
That's how we use to negotiate trades in Halo 2.

I'm still like this when thinking about Fernandez on the Yankees.
