Around the Empire: Yankees news - 12/13/15

James Pazos for the seventh inning; Luis Cessa ranked 19th; Cashman to make more moves; production lost from Warren/Wilson.

Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports | Ryan Hatch: With the departure of Justin Wilson, some think it's possible that James Pazos could slot into the seventh inning role.

LoHud Yankees Blog | Chad Jennings: Luis Cessa was acquired in the Justin Wilson trade with the Tigers, and he now sits at 19th overall on the Yankees' top prospect list at, behind Brady Lail, Drew Finley, and Bryan Mitchell.

CBS New York | Sweeny Murti: Because of some of the holes created by recent trades--as well as existing questions--the Yankees are definitely not done making moves, Murti claims. The Yankees are looking for young, controllable starting pitching, and they also want bullpen arms. Ideally, the Yankees want to model their pitching staff after the Mets, who have a bevy of young, cheap talent.

BP Bronx | Nick Ashbourne: By dealing both Adam Warren and Justin Wilson, the Yankees have sent away what was the same amount of value as Francisco Liriano last season.
