PSA Comments of the Day 11/20/15: Cleveland's gardens need a Gardner

Apparently the Yankees and the Indians have discussed swapping a starting pitcher for Brett Gardner. Whether or not anything will come from it, remains to be seen.

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Another day, another step closer to baseball. Unfortunately, even though the days keep passing by, there's still a lot of time between now and baseball. The biggest news that came out yesterday was confirmation that the Indians and the Yankees have indeed at least had discussions regarding trading Brett Gardner in exchange for a starting pitcher. Obviously, these are just preliminary talks and rumors so they don't necessarily have any substance to it, but if Corey Kluber were to somehow end up in pinstripes and Gardner were to be gone as a result of it, it wouldn't be the worst case scenario.

In other news, ESPN and MLB announced yesterday that the Yankees' Opening Day game versus the Astros will be played on April 4th at 1:05 PM and will be one of seven (!) games covered by ESPN in the first two days of the 2016 regular season. Let's hope that the Yankees game has Jessica Mendoza in the booth at least.

Comments of the Day

Seems reasonable. Also when did Cody Eppley become the GM of the Angels? Or is Eppley just what Girardi called Eppler? You decide!

Honorable Mod Mention

Greg wins for changing his last name to Cashman for this week and getting me Greinke and ChapMilTances.

Fun Questions

Song of the Day

Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Abraham Dukas

It's (Cartoon) Compositions week on Pinstripe Alley. A week that's taken a turn to not just be any compositions, it would almost be a shame not to mention today's SOTD. In the off chance you don't recognize it, it's from a delightful film called Fantasia. Fun fact: I hated Fantasia when I was growing up because I fell asleep during it and never understood the big deal behind it. Turns out if you watch it while awake, it's a lot better!

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. What're your thoughts on the Gardner rumblings? Do you prefer Brian or Greg Cashman as the Yankees' GM?
