PSA Comments of the Day 11/11/15: You ain't seen nothing yet

Won't it be fine? I sure hope so, cause man I'm not ready for this.

No, this bud is for me.

The offseason rolls on as Waitvember continues. As you've no doubt read by now, we have a rumor alert in the land of Pinstripes right now. This is a day I have been personally dreading, but have ultimately been expecting. Perhaps it's fitting that it's the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Brett Gardner, #11 himself, has been talked about in rumored trade discussions between the Yankees and the Mariners. Sigh.

Look, I understand that this is probably going to happen. Not this particular trade rumor, mind you, but something like it. The Yankees and Mariners have done business before and it's worked out alright. Brett Gardner's speed and defense would be very well utilized in the cavernous Safeco Field. James Paxton, a 27 year-old lefty who is suppose to be "Andy Pettitte-ish" with his delivery, is the supposed target, even though the primary reason to trade my gritty gutty hero is to make way for a Jason Heyward or Justin Upton. I get all of that. It just doesn't make this any easier.

Comments of the Day

Just your friendly reminder that Mike Mussina deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

Hmmm. Valid point.

GIF of the Day

Oh Nunez. Will your zany antics ever end?

Make sure to get your Pinstripe Alley complimentary "How dare you send Greg Bird back down to the minors?!" pitchforks and torches!

Honorable Mod Mention

Waffles wins the HMM for writing that Brett Gardner rumor article after the story broke...around 2AM.

Fun Questions

  • A follow up question to Shah's question yesterday, name a book/tv show/video game that you hope never gets adapted into a movie.
  • Scariest weather combination that you can think of?

Song of the Day

The Best Is Yet To Come by Frank Sinatra

It's Frank Sinatra week on Pinstripe Alley. This was always one of my favorite Sinatra songs. It might very well be my favorite. So you can imagine my immense nerdish glee when Captain Sisko of Deep Space Nine performed it at the end of an episode. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. Sigh.
