Thwack! Sorry if that hurt, but I needed to get you out of the hypnosis. I know Greg had to have done something to let you believe he'd be leading the threads. Luckily the Pinstripe Alley staff was able to foil his plan. Unfortunately he escaped in a Big Boy rocket to space and has cryogenically frozen himself along with his cat. This is good news and bad news. The good news is that he's out of our hair for now, the bad news? He can come back at anytime. Luckily the staff has a secret hideout with a moat surrounding it, and within the moat are sharks with freakin' laser beams attached to their heads. So even if Greg comes back, we're safe. But let's not dilly-dally in case he figures out a way around that. ALCS Game 1 happened last night and the NLCS begins tonight.
The Royals and the Blue Jays began the ALCS last night, where the Royals and took a 1-0 series lead after a 5-0 victory. Game 2 is today at 4:07 PM EST and I'd Ventura to say there'll be a heavy Price to pay. (Get it? Yordano Ventura vs. David Price). On the National side of things, one of my favorite things in recent baseball history is about to begin. In April if anyone said there would be a Mets and Cubs NLCS, you might be best buddies with Randle McMurphy and Nurse Ratched right now. But baseball is the gift that keeps giving (even if the Yankees are no longer in it) and one of these teams is only 4 wins away from appearing in the World Series.
Comments of the Day
If the Meteors swooped in and won the World Series this year, I'd be impressed.
Glad we got that squared away. I didn't want this to be a sine of things to come.

Honorable Mod Mention
Yesterday was Aaron Boone day, so Andrew wins for his recounting of the 2003 ALCS Game 7.
Fun Questions
- Without worrying about any of the logistics regarding divisions and geographical locations, come up with 2 possible MLB expansion cities along with their team names. One for AL and one for NL. Remember to have fun with it!
- Who is your currently active favorite athlete? This does not have to be restricted to baseball.
Song of the Day
Brilliant Disguise by Bruce Springsteen
Springsteen Week concludes today on Pinstripe Alley. I know for some it was Tougher Than the Rest, but secretly everyone enjoyed it. To celebrate how lucky I feel after managing to get a Springsteen week in here, I'm going to leave My Hometown and go to Atlantic City, known as the Land of Hope and Dreams. If I Should Fall Behind I'll take the Backstreets to the Secret Garden. I know, I know...I'm On Fire. Please link us your Song of the Day.
Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. There are 2 baseball games on today, so that's something that can be discussed or you can just talk about how much you love the fact that Yankee Stadium doesn't allow selfie sticks. I also heard there might be nachos, is that true?
8 wins away from fulfilling the McFly Prophecy!
