Today we find out which two teams will meet in the ALCS.

Earth-2 Greg Kirkland, otherwise known as Kunj Shah, has relegated today's open thread to me. Once again, I'll be bringing you all the openest, threadiest stuff you love while he attempts to regain his powers somehow. I recommend some heavy water experiments or something of that ilk. In any case, we've sure got a lot of baseball to talk about. You know, just not Yankees baseball. Sigh.

We are coming to the end of the Division Series. The Cubs and Cardinals series is over with as of yesterday afternoon. The Cubbies managed to defeat the best regular season team in the majors with a lot of dingers. No seriously, you should watch Kyle Schwarber's HR unless you have friends who are baseballs. The Cubs advance to the NLCS. They will have to wait till Thursday to find out who they will be facing, as the Dodgers defeated the Mets last night and forced a 5th game in LA. Zack Grienke vs. Jacob deGrom should be an incredible, salon-ish hair flowing battle of the ages. Meanwhile, the two ALCS opponents will be decided today. The Rangers and the Blue Jays will face off in Toronto, followed by the Astros vs. the Royals later on in the evening.

Comments of the Day

The struggle is real.

I mean, PSA mods blog through pain all the time. Whether we sprain our ankles, cut ourselves while chopping up scallions, or read some zany trade proposal, we manage to keep going through it all. Get on the ball, Yankees.

Honorable Mod Mention

Caitlin wins, since she is going to be the next Yankee second baseman!

Song of the Day

Dancing In The Dark by Bruce Springsteen

It's Springsteen Week on Pinstripe Alley, for reasons not of this Earth. Here's another song that Bruce Springsteen did. I actually happen to like this Springsteen song, which brings that number to a grand total of two. As always, please link us your song of the day.

Feel free to use this as your open thread for the day. If you have more wacky trade proposals, just plop them on in here. Perhaps discuss which teams you are rooting for in the ALDS. Answer the ancient question of "Why is Curt Schilling?" Comment on my excellent photo choice for today's COTD thread.
