The Yankees needed two ninth inning home runs last night to complete a comeback against the Red Sox. Tonight, they send Michael Pineda to the mound in hopes of building off that momentum and taking an important series from the Royals. Sitting four games back of the second wild card with two teams to jump is still an uphill climb, but losing any series at this point would be pretty devastating. Winning tonight would be a great step toward hanging with another potential playoff team, but the Yankees will have to go through James Shields to do it.
Go Yankees, Go Baseball!
