PSA Comments of the Day 9/5/14: Pineda vs. Shields Round 2

It's always great to beat the Red Sox. The Yankees hope to keep the victories comes against the Kansas City Royals this weekend. Michael Pineda will face off against James Shield for the second time this year. Let's hope it turns out as well as the first time!

Their faces are priceless.

Comment of the Game

LTL's comment was prophetic, and is a definitely runner up for COTG...

However, the COTG goes to Blob for accurately predicting Teixeira's game tying HR off of Koji Uehara. While I don't think Tex hit the dinger for the reason Blob gave, a callin' it dinger is a callin' it dinger.

Best GIF of the Recap

BlackandGoldTSgt is our BGOTR winner with this classic PSA favorite. It's funny every time it gets posted.

Honorable Mod Mention

Andrew quickly posted this Hedley Lamarr GIF after Chase Headley hit his walk off home run. Blazing Saddles references for Headley are always honorable. Side note: I would have just put the GIF, but everyone needed to see LTL's comment about Paul O'Neill.

Best Comments of the Day

Blanky agrees that not letting Brian Cashman go is a wise move by the Yankees. Captain Kirk and Doctor McCoy agree with her agreement.

Fun Questions

  • Can you remember a worse year of Yankees' TOOTBLAN? If so, what year?

Stars Align by Lindsey Stirling

It'd be nice if the stars were aligning for the Yankees. As always, link us your Song of the Day!

The Yankees beat the Red Sox. There are not many happier phrases than that. The Yankees making the playoffs would be right up there as well. So yeah, go and do just that Yankees. Also, enough with the TOOTBLAN. Michael Pineda faces off against James Shields tonight. They last faced each other on August 25th. The Yankees won that game 8-1. Let us hope the results are the same tonight.
