Cleveland Indians at New York Yankees, Bauer vs. Rogers

Game 115: Tribe at Yanks

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

Another day, another cast off starting for your 2014 New York Yankees.

Today, Esmil Rogers takes the ball to start in the place of David Phelps, who had been starting in place of either Michael Pineda or Ivan Nova- I can't remember which, and since they both went down in the same week, it's hard to say at this point. You really can never have enough starting pitching.

Claimed off waivers from the Blue Jays, Rogers was solid against his previous team last time out.

The Cleveland Indians counter with Trevor Bauer, who has pitched well of late. He's fresh off a strong outing against the Rangers.

Having fought their way into second place in the AL East, but still on the outside of the playoff picture, the Yankees need to take the momentum from their series win against the Tigers and continue to play at a high level.

Go Yankees. Go baseball. Happy Friday.
