New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles, Pineda vs. Tillman

Big Mike Returns

Jared Wickerham

Michael Pineda last pitched in April.

The Yankees were leading the AL East, though they'd allowed more runs than they'd scored. The offense was trying to click, but the pitching staff looked great.

When Pineda was ejected from his start against the Red Sox for using pine tar (a second offense, though the first infraction was allowed to slide), he had the look of an emerging ace.

Chris Tillman has the same look. 6'5", 210, and coming off a 200 IP, 1.2 WHIP season that saw him named to the All-Star game. 2014 has been a new challenge- his strikeouts are down, but his homeruns are down too, so his overall numbers otherwise look the same. He is a huge part of the Orioles' future.

Go Yankees. Go Big Mike. Go baseball.
