New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox, Capuano vs. Ranaudo

Game 108: The Other Guys Matchup

Andy Marlin

Chris Capuano was put in Boston's version of the DFA cannon exactly one month ago today. He landed in Colorado and then got shipped to Bronx.

Anthony Ranaudo was rated the #67 prospect in all of baseball before the 2011 season, but his stock has fallen some since then. The New Jersey native grew up a Yankee fan, so maybe he'll put one "down the pipe" for Derek Jeter? Ranaudo is likely headed back to Triple A after this start anyway, given the crowded state of the Red Sox rotation.

Stephen Drew and Kelly Johnson will get to put on their new uniforms for the first time, after the Yankees and Red Sox completed their first trade with each other since 1997. We have Pinstripe Alley staff who weren't old enough to remember that.

Go Yankees. Go baseball.
