Texas Rangers at New York Yankees, Lewis vs. McCarthy

The Yankees big trade makes the start against one of the last men standing in the Rangers' rotation.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Colby Lewis has an ERA over 6.00.

He has allowed more hits per inning than Vidal Nuno. His WHIP is the worst of any player with 80+ IP, and opponents have an unbelievable .413 BABIP against him. Remember that the 11 home runs he's allowed don't count among "balls in play."

So... bets on which inning the Yankees will break up Lewis' perfect game bid?

Brandon McCarthy takes the ball for the Yankees. It's been a month since he's allowed more than 2 runs in a start, but it's been a month since he faced a quality offense. Today should be a real test.
