After signing Dermis Garcia, Nelsom Gomez, Diego Castillo, and Frederick Cuevas, the Yankees have continued their international spending spree with the signing of Venezuelan shortstop Wilkerman Garcia:

MLB.com believes Garcia should stay at shortstop with his projected 60-grade arm and 60-grade fielding, good hands and footwork, though he could also be a second baseman or third baseman. He is expected to hit for average with a projected 55-hit tool, however there are some questions over his power potential, which grades out as a future 50.
Matt Garrioch of Minor League Ball also believes he will end up at second base, though he compliments his controled approach and ability to make contact. While MLB.com has him at No. 14. Baseball America actually ranked him at No. 7 on their list, so they are a bit more optimistic about his abilities.
