Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees, Archer vs. Phelps

The Yankees open another three game set with division rival.

Mike Stobe

Let's put the last week behind us, shall we? Forget that the Yankees have lost 3 series in a row in a 3-6 stretch.

Focus on the positives: at the season's midpoint, with 39 losses on the year, the Yankees are in a 3 way tie for first in the AL East.

And now, they have a chance to beat up on the last place Rays. Baseball is a long season, and success is about beating the teams you're supposed to beat.

David Phelps tries to rebound from a 5 inning, 6 run drubbing in Toronto. Chris Archer comes off a 7 inning, 4 run performance against the Pirates.

Happy Monday. Go Yankees. Go baseball.
