For those East Coast Yankees fans who dislike West Coast road trips, rejoice. Only three more games of this time zone for the entire year. For these three games, the Yankees will face off against the Athletics in O.co Coliseum. I promise I did not make that stadium name up. Regardless of the stadium's name, the Athletics are one of the best teams in baseball right now. Record wise, they are #1 in the American League and only behind the San Francisco Giants for the best record in the majors.
David Phelps will take the mound for the Yankees tonight. Phelps was an inning away from having a decent outing his last start. Needless to say, he has been giving up too many runs lately. That needs to stop. Meanwhile, the Yankees will face off against Sonny Gray, who has been pitching very well for the A's this season.
Pinstripe Alley Keys to Victory:
- Score more runs than the opposition
- Use the Coliseum's massive foul territory to your advantage
- All Glory to the Hypnotoad
Go Yankees Go Baseball
