After getting rained out yesterday, the Yankees and Pirates will finally open their series in the Bronx today. The Yankees will send David Phelps out to the mound, while the Pirates will give Edinson Volquez the start. Phelps' last start (the 6-5 loss to the Brewers) was somewhere in between meh and bad. It would be nice if you could improve on that, David.
Jacoby Ellsbury was scratched from the lineup with flu-like symptoms.
